GuildSuper partners with MetLife to bring healthcare to homes

Feb 20, 2023: GuildSuper members can now access virtual healthcare advice and guidance anywhere through the 360Health Virtual Care program as GuildSuper has partnered with Metlife to offer a safe and convenient medical consultation.

GuildSuper members can now access virtual healthcare advice and guidance anywhere through the 360Health Virtual Care program as GuildSuper has partnered with Metlife to offer a safe and convenient medical consultation.

While local GPs are often the first point of contact for members who are getting expert healthcare advice, the 360Health Virtual Care program enables them to extend their access to a broader range of practitioners who may not be available in their local areas.

This also helps with the challenge of attending in-person consultations with a GP, which was amplified during the pandemic.

The benefits of virtual consultations include:

  • No need to travel to meet with health care experts;
  • Access to more experts around the country (and safer than 'Dr Google');
  • Convenient phone and online video consultations; and
  • Secure and accurate healthcare records shared between GPs and relevant healthcare professionals to ensure everyone looking after the members has the right information.

The virtual consultation is provided by Teladoc Health, which has health clinicians who will connect members with doctors after discussing their health concerns. The clinician determines the right combination of services for the patient to support them every step of the way.

Virtual Care includes a range of services designed to help members get the right answers and help for medical concerns, including:

Mental Health Assist – an in-depth review of the patient’s mental health by a team of experts in Australia, followed by ongoing support from a mental health nurse.

Expert Medical Opinion – a detailed review of the individual’s physical condition by experts to help understand the diagnosis, learn more about suitable treatment options, and choose treatment and recovery options.

Ask a Clinician – a convenient and quick way to have medical questions answered by a GP, Paediatrician or Mental Health Expert. A member simply asks questions at any time and a doctor will respond in writing within 24 hours. The service can be used as many times as needed.

Nutrition Consultation – a detailed consultation and personalised nutrition plan is provided by a qualified dietitian covering individual food preferences, nutrition and general wellbeing.

Fitness and Recovery – seek advice and a personalised action plan from an Exercise Physiologist to help with fitness or recovery.
